Band rooflights are intended for lighting and day ventilation of extensive roof areas; they are installed on the roof opening. Depending on the shape and type of glazing, roof monitors (band rooflights) are classified as continuous barrel vaulted rooflights S 3000, saddle rooflights SE 3000, “greyish” rooflights SD 3000, panel rooflights SP 3000. The roof monitors use the properties of polycarbonate panels (PC), which can be bent in the direction of the cells. Materials used in the production of rooflights are maintenance-free, do not corrode and resist atmospheric effects. The bearing arches are made of aluminium, soccles from galvanized sheet, glazing from PC.
Glazing:
Pure or opal cellular polycarbonate panels are used for glazing the domes. These panels resist hailstones, UV radiation and do not form splinters when broken. Their main advantage is good thermal insulation of the building interior. The thickness of the PC panel is chosen according to the required thermal insulation properties of the rooflight. The coefficient of heat transmission for the thicknesses of the PC panels used:
Thickness 10 mm U = 2,49 až 3,1 W/m2 K
Thickness 16 mm U = 1,8 až 2,4 W/m2 K
Thickness 20 mm U = 1,6 W/m2 K
Thickness 32 mm U = 1,2 W/m2 K
Soccles:
The rooflights are installed on soccles from galvanized metal sheet. The soccle height is determined from the thickness of the roof envelope; usually the 30 mm height is used. Thermal insulation is carried out by laying the roof envelope insulation into the soccle. Waterproofing must be drawn on the upper surface of the soccle.

Ventilation:
All the types of the band rooflights can be supplied as ventilation rooflights. The ventilation (opening) design involves a ventilation wing, stainless hinges and electric motor with a lift of 300 mm. We can produce the dimensions of the ventilation according to your request.
